Do you provide the jackets or accessories?

You can choose to provide a leather, faux leather or denim jacket that’s special to you, or one that matches your theme and occasion. Once your project is confirmed, I’ll give you my postal address so you can send it to me.

 

If you prefer, I can supply a black faux leather jacket at a cost of AU$90.00 each. Please let me know if you’d like to go with this option when requesting your quote.

What are the best types of jackets and accessories to use?

I recommend new or preloved jackets and accessories that are leather, faux leather, vegan leather, PU leather, pleather or denim. To ensure your jacket is suitable for my artwork, I test the paint on a small patch on the inside of your jacket before I begin painting.

How much does it cost?

Your full colour custom jacket starts from AU$375, with the final quote dependant on the level of detail and complexity you’re looking for. For hand-painting of any accessories, please contact me for a quote.

What’s the usual time frame on getting my piece completed?

This depends on existing bookings as I may be booked out months in advance. To find out what the time frame is at the moment, get in touch.

 

For confirmed bookings, each piece can take up to four weeks. This includes time to have a design consultation, send you two to three sketches to choose from, then up to two weeks to paint your piece.

How does payment work?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking to secure a spot in my calendar. The remainder is to be paid in full before I ship your piece to you. When it’s completed, I’ll provide a photo of your final artwork to confirm your project is ready to ship.

Do you only paint botanicals?

The short answer is no. Because I personally create each artwork working one on one with you, we can chat about what you’d like, as long as it’s in keeping with my style and aesthetic. Check out my Gallery to get some ideas of previous work.

How will I know I’m getting a design that’s right for me and my special occasion?

I use my own design process to get to know you and what you’d like to create.  We start with you sharing your inspiration, followed by a 30-minute design consultation. From this, I’ll deliver two to three sketches for your approval, and only then do I start painting. This ensures you receive a beautiful bespoke piece, created just for you.

I’m stuck for inspiration – what do you recommend?

If you’re planning a wedding or special event, you’re probably all over this, but if you’re stuck, check out bridal magazines, or use Pinterest, which allows you to create your own custom ‘pinboards’. A Pinterest pinboard is a great starting place to share what you love during your design process.

Does the paint come off?

I only use Acrylic Angelus Leather Paints, which are flexible and hard-wearing. They don’t crack, chip, bleed or run. As long as you look after your artwork, it should inspire happy memories for years to come.

How do I clean the jacket?

If needed, you can wipe your artwork with a damp cloth. As for the garment, please care for it as instructed on the tag, as gently as possible.

Is my custom jacket or accessory insured while it’s being shipped?

For any items posted within Australia, postal insurance of up to $500 is included. For overseas shipping (refer to the question below), insurance can be arranged with your shipping costs.

Do you ship overseas?

Yes, I am happy to, but because postage costs and choices vary and depend on the jacket you choose, any shipping costs will be your responsibility.
