HI, I’M THE ARTIST AMANDA

The founder of Paper Pickle and CAO (Chief Art Officer). Currently Paper Pickle’s only other team member is Ziggy Stardust, my family’s Labrador and full-time studio hound.

 

As the only person on the team and a formally qualified artist (I hold a BA in Fine Art Painting), by choosing to work with me, you get your very own dedicated artist who works with you one on one on your project.

 

If you’re a bride-to-be, or planning on celebrating a special occasion, you want it to be special, different and to reflect your personality. To deliver a personal, original piece for you, I’ve developed a process How it Works to get to know you and create a truly bespoke wearable artwork for your wedding or special event.

 

I started Paper Pickle back in 2014, initially creating bespoke paintings and collages. That was until a friend who owns a bridal store requested a custom artwork on a jacket for her store. I soon realised I loved working with this new medium and what beautiful results can be created on leather, faux leather and denim jackets or accessories.

From there, I started creating bespoke artworks on jackets and accessories for brides and special occasions, and realised I just love it.

Since we might be working together one on one, I thought you might want to know a little more about me:

 

  • I hold a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Fine Art Painting
  • I’ve exhibited my artworks in a number of London galleries and public exhibitions
  • I’ve also worked on a number of different artistic mediums including painting, photography, collage, sculpture and printmaking
  • I’m a photographer and painter with nine years experience teaching and lecturing in photography and graphic design
  • I grew up in London, Jakarta and Hong Kong • Originally from London, I moved to Australia over 10 years ago
  • I’m a mum of two kids and a Labrador
  • My passions are art, my family and health (not in order of preference, kids!)
  • My wedding was a simple beach ceremony, held in Sydney
  • Art is not only my passion, but my therapy

 

And finally, I’m blessed to say I love what I do – creating works of art to help people like you celebrate and remember special occasions.
